Tate Britain

Part of a total kitchen refit by Fatboys Catering, Exclusive Ranges was asked to design a Menu System cooker that would change the existing line cooking process to a central island operation. There was a strong focus on the environmental improvements that an induction cooker could bring and group head chef Stephen Goodlad was very keen to make big improvements for his team of young chefs as the client has a strong duty of care to its staff.

Today

What Tate Britain now has is a smaller, cooler, cleaner kitchen.  We were able to reduce the number of appliances, maximising the efficiency of the induction equipment installed.  All service aspects of the operation have been incorporated into the island cooker, including the electric vapour grill and the Menu System cook & hold drawer units.  Such is the success of the outcome of Tate Britain’s new facility the client has shown their commitment in purchasing a second Menu System range for the new Tate Modern extension.
